Orthodontic Support
  • Tooth Exposure An impacted tooth is one that has not erupted into the mouth, but instead is stuck in the surrounding bone or gum tissue. Tooth exposure is a procedure where your periodontist and orthodontist work together to bring the tooth into place. Using CBCT 3D imaging your tooth is visualized to aid in planning the surgery. The surgery involves reflecting and repositioning the gum and removing any overlying bone covering the impacted tooth. After a few weeks of healing, your orthodontist can start moving the tooth into place.
  • Wilckodontics The Wilckodontics procedure or Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics is accomplished by the periodontal and orthodontic team. The benefit is that adults and adolescents can complete orthodontics 3-4 times faster than conventional orthodontics. It consists of periodontal surgery involving bone grafting to help augment the existing bone and efficient orthodontic mechanics that begin a few weeks after the surgery.
